Project Visits
NEW! Following the Africa workshop in Maputo, Mozambique, Dr. Salim and the team went to Beluluane Industrial Park outside the capital for the third EIR Project Visit to Mozal aluminium smelter project, 19 January 2003. A detailed trip report will be available shortly

Extractive Industries Review Report of Project Visit to Papua New Guinea
This report was prepared by Ms. Rini Ariani Sulaiman, Consultant to the Extractive Industries Review, who, along with Ms. Mardi Minangsari, accompanied Dr. Emil Salim on his project visit to Papua New Guinea, August 2-11, 2002. Project visits should fulfill these criteria:
Sustainability: We are interested in projects that provide an insight into the issues that are related to the extractive industries' impact on environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
Balanced perspective: Project visits should include both good and problematic examples, IBRD/IDA, IFC and MIGA projects, and oil, gas and mining sectors.
